How the Strolee Single Stroller Handled Disney!

How the Strolee Single Stroller Handled Disney!

If there's one ultimate test for a stroller's performance, it's navigating the Happiest Place on Earth with kids in tow!

One of our Strolee families recently took our single stroller to Disney for a week-long family vacation - and they were gracious enough to share their experience in a blog post!

Check out how their trip went below 👇

This guest post is from the Peterson family, who recently took their Strolee strollers on a week-long Disney adventure with their 4-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter!

When we started planning our Disney trip, the stroller situation was one of our biggest concerns!

Horror stories about strollers being too big for park regulations, nightmare experiences on Disney buses, and the infamous "stroller parking lots" had us wondering if we should just rent Disney's options instead.

We decided to bring our trusted Strolee strollers, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip!

No Drama at the Disney Gates

First things first: Disney has specific size requirements for strollers (31" width x 52" length), and we've heard stories of families being turned away at the gate.

Our Strolee single strollers fit well within these limits, and we walked right through without a second glance from cast members. We actually saw a family with a larger stroller being asked to rent a Disney one instead—definitely a vacation mood-killer we were glad to avoid!

Navigating Disney Transportation Like Pros

Anyone who's been to Disney knows that their transportation system can make or break your experience. With two little ones who still needed naps, we were constantly hopping on and off buses between parks and our resort.

Disney Buses = Strolee's Time to Shine

The Disney buses were where our Strolee strollers really proved their worth:

  • Super compact when folded: Our folded Strolees fit perfectly between bus seats, keeping them out of the walkway completely. We noticed other families had to awkwardly stack their bulkier strollers in the luggage area, creating a traffic jam every time the bus stopped.

  • Surprisingly lightweight: At the end of a long park day, the last thing you want is to wrestle with a heavy stroller while carrying a sleeping child. We could easily carry our folded Strolees with one arm while holding a tired kid with the other.

All-Day Storage Solution

With sunscreen, water bottles, snacks, extra clothes, and the inevitable souvenirs, we needed serious storage space. The basket underneath our Strolee strollers was a lifesaver:

  • Easily held our backpack, several water bottles, and snacks
  • Kept our poncho collection accessible for unexpected Florida showers
  • Had room for Mickey ears and other souvenirs
  • Stayed sturdy even when fully loaded (unlike our friend's stroller that sagged to the ground)

The Game-Changing LINQ Feature

The absolute MVP feature of our Disney trip was the Strolee LINQ system. We brought two single strollers and used the LINQ bars to connect them when needed, which gave us incredible flexibility throughout our vacation.

By day three, we had our Disney routine down. In the morning, we'd connect both strollers and navigate the parks together. But the real magic happened in the afternoons:

  • My husband took our son (who was obsessed with Star Wars) to Galaxy's Edge
  • I took our daughter (in full princess mode) to meet Cinderella

With traditional double strollers, this kind of split would have been impossible. We simply disconnected the LINQ bars, each took a stroller, and agreed on a meeting spot for later. The ability to separate and reconnect throughout the day was perfect for our family's different interests.

"Being able to divide and conquer in the afternoon saved our Disney experience," my husband said. "No meltdowns from our son having to wait through princess meet-and-greets, and our daughter got quality mom time without her brother's Star Wars commentary!"

Why We're Glad We Didn't Rent Disney Strollers

Many families opt to rent strollers at Disney (currently $15-30 per day), but we're so glad we brought our Strolees instead:

  • Familiarity: Our kids were already comfortable in their own strollers
  • Availability: We had our strollers from the moment we landed until the moment we left
  • Savings: We saved over $200 compared to renting for our 7-day trip
  • Comfort: The Disney rental strollers don't recline for naps (a disaster for our 2-year-old!)

Our Top Disney + Strolee Tips

If you're heading to Disney with your Strolee strollers, here are our tried-and-tested tips:

  • Attach a bright ribbon or tag to quickly identify your stroller in the parking areas
  • Bring along the rain cover—Florida weather is unpredictable!
  • Practice your fold/unfold technique before you go (it becomes second nature quickly)
  • The snack trays were perfect for holding bubble wands (which kept our kids entertained in long lines)

We came back from Disney with magical memories, minimal meltdowns, and a deep appreciation for our Strolee strollers.

They truly passed the ultimate family vacation test!
